18” Water Main Diversion in Glenmavis, Airdrie

Connections2energy are delighted to be awarded our first contract with Dawn Homes where we will be diverting the existing 18” AC water main as it leaves the service reservoir and currently runs through the proposed 147 plot Mayfields development in Glenmavis, Airdrie.

Explorative works were undertaken to confirm the exact position of the existing main and the proposed diversion route. Connections2energy also took UKWIR approved soil samples to determine the preferred material for the diverted pipe.

We worked in close liaison with our design team to overcome our clients concerns in achieving the correct stand-off distance required to comply with Scottish Water standards. This ensured that none of the proposed layout of the site was compromised whilst moving the asset.

Connections2energy has now secured full design approval with Scottish Water for the diversion.

We will be laying approximately 300m of 450mm Wrapped DI main during our Stage 2 construction phase.

Our Account Managers will provide you with a single point of contact to deal with your utility requirements throughout your project.
