New Housing Stock for Leeds City Council

Leeds City Council have agreed to plough more than £50m into 358 new council homes across the city – including 63 to be constructed in the west of the city.

As part of these plans, 13 houses have been given the green light to be constructed at Heights Lane, Armley.

The authority hopes to have this development completed in 2021, and claims it is already looking at future sites to build further social housing.

Connections2energy will deliver over 350m of off-site installation works to get utilities to site with new gas, water, electricity, and rising main sewer networks required to service the development. Close liaison with all stakeholders will be required to ensure the tight deadlines are achieved.

We will provide our client with a dedicated point of contact to manage these works from start to finish.

Our client provides retrofit insulation services to existing high-rise buildings and was looking for a safe and cost-effective solution to supply power to their mast climber work platforms.

Ethical Investment Solving UK Housing Crisis

Connections2energy are working with a Merseyside Housing Authority to deliver multi-utility to 12 new houses at Sorrel Way, St Helens.

The development, which is being funded by an ethical peer-to-peer investment platform will provide social and affordable housing opportunities to families looking for property in the Clock Face area.

This type of funding scheme, that anyone can invest in, is seen as providing an effective solution to tackling the UK’s affordable housing crisis by easing the financial burden on local authorities.

Once the properties are ready for occupation, a registered social landlord will find and manage suitable tenants from those unable to afford market rents, on the basis of a lease that lasts at least 50 years.

The driver here is that people and families on local waiting lists will receive a warm and energy efficient home that is also affordable, because any rises in rent are capped by government regulation. Meanwhile, investors can earn a modest return from a property investment that has real social value.

Contact Connections2energy on 03300 552 559 or email us at info@connections2energy.co.uk to see how we can help you get your utility requirements sorted.
