Location: Wolverhampton, United Kingdom
Scope of works: Gas disconnection and new gas connection
Sector: Education & Public Services
Project: Central Library extension
Connections2energy is pleased to have supported the ongoing transformation of Wolverhampton Central Library as part of the £61m City Learning Quarter programme. Our works included a gas disconnection and a new gas connection to facilitate the library’s extension.
The first phase of improvements has now been completed, delivering new first-floor offices and other operational facilities within the 1970s extension. Future works will include the restoration of the Grade II*-listed building’s front and roof, alongside plans to connect the library to the Alan Garner Building on Old Hall Street.
The City Learning Quarter development aims to provide state-of-the-art facilities in Wolverhampton’s city centre, improving life chances through learning, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. Connections2energy is delighted to have played a role in supporting this important community project.
