Everything you need for your gas infrastructure – in one place
gas connection
New mains or service connections for residential developments, commercial premises and industrial facilities. We manage the full process, GNO application, competitive GIRS contractor quoting, delivery and completion sign-off through one dedicated account manager.
Gas Disconnection
Supply abandonment and disconnection for demolition, redevelopment and site clearance. We coordinate the full process with the relevant Gas Network Operator, ensuring all works are completed safely and to the required standard before site works begin.
GIRS
Why GIRS accreditation matters
The Gas Industry Registration Scheme is the recognised scheme for contractors delivering gas mains connections and works on behalf of UK Gas Network Operators (GNOs). Without GIRS accreditation, a contractor’s gas works will not be accepted by the GNO.Â
As a utility facilitator, we don’t carry out the physical works ourselves, but every gas contractor we appoint must hold current GIRS accreditation for the scope of works being delivered. We verify this before the appointment and audit it continuously throughout our working relationship.
Gas network operators allow developers to use independent GIRS-accredited contractors rather than going directly to the GNO. We access this open market on your behalf, obtaining competitive quotes to ensure you get the best combination of price, quality and programme fit for your project.

common questions
Gas connections, your questions answered
Do your gas contractors hold GIRS accreditation?
Every gas contractor we appoint holds current GIRS accreditation. The Gas Industry Registration Scheme registration is required by all UK Gas Network Operators for mains connection and alteration works. Without it, a GNO will not accept or sign off on any gas connection works, regardless of how much has already been spent on a project. As a utility facilitator, we don't carry out the physical works ourselves, but we verify GIRS accreditation before every contractor appointment and audit it continuously throughout our working relationship.
Can you get competitive quotes vs the gas network operator?
Yes, and this is one of the most valuable things we do for clients on gas projects. Gas network operators allow developers and contractors to use independent GIRS-accredited contractors rather than going directly to the GNO for connection works. Going straight to the GNO means accepting their standard quotation with no competition and no negotiation. By accessing the market on your behalf, we obtain competitive quotes from qualified independent contractors, which regularly deliver better pricing and greater programme flexibility. Contact our team to find out what's possible on your specific project.
How long does a new gas connection take?
Timescales vary depending on the Gas Network Operator area, the scale and complexity of the connection required, and whether any network reinforcement is needed before the new supply can be provided. As a general guide, straightforward domestic or small commercial connections can sometimes be completed within a few weeks of application. Larger commercial or industrial connections, or those requiring mains reinforcement, will require more lead time and should be planned well in advance of your construction programme. The single most important thing you can do to protect your programme is to engage us early so we can submit the GNO application at the earliest opportunity and build the connection timeline into your programme rather than around it. Your account manager will provide a realistic, project-specific timescale at the quotation stage.
Can you manage gas alongside other utilities?
Yes and in most cases we'd strongly recommend it. One account manager handles all three utilities, all providers are coordinated against the same construction programme, and there is one point of accountability if anything needs resolving. Clients who have managed utilities separately before almost universally tell us they wish they'd used a multi-utility approach from the start. If your project needs more than one utility, speak to our team about what a coordinated package would look like for your specific scheme.
