Connections2energy are delighted to be working alongside this client, delivering gas disconnections and connections to their student accommodation project in Leeds.
Lee and Chelsie will be facilitating the gas disconnection prior to the demolition of the existing office block, as well as the new gas connections for the construction of the part-18 storey building.
A total of 210 studio apartments will be provided as well communal facilities including a gym, lounges, study spaces as well as a roof top terrace on the 8th floor.
New Student Accommodation in Preston
Chelsie and Nicola are delighted to be assisting this client with full gas, water and electric connections, including a new substation.
The purpose built 4 storey student development will comprise a total of 218 self-contained studios across two separate buildings. The development is the first all studio student accommodation in Preston. We look forward to completing this project and seeing the accommodation open to the students.
Former Pub to New Care Home
Chelsie and Lisa are pleased to be working alongside this client, delivering full multi utility.
The former pub, located in Rubery has been vacant for several years and is now set to be demolished, replaced with a new modern care home set to house 68 occupants.
The £10.8 million project will include 68 en suite bedrooms with communal facilities such as a lounge, hairdressers and cinema.
Connections2energy will be upgrading the existing substation to allow for the new 120 KVA electric connection alongside a new 410 Kw gas connection and a new 63mm water connection.
Full Multi-utility For Development in Whaley Bridge
Having worked on numerous projects together, Connections2energy were pleased to collaborate with this valued customer once again for their project in Whaley Bridge.
The new development comprises of 5 Houses and 8 flats. Paula and Charlotte facilitated the supply of gas, electric, water and temporary water. We look forward to working alongside this client again on future projects.
New Care Home and Apartment Block in Buckingham

New BNO Connection for new London Flats
Connections2energy are pleased to have completed new electric connection works and meter installation’s for their client in London.
Nicola and Chelsie were happy to assist this client with a new BNO connection to this new apartment block and retail unit. The new 5-storey building comprises 19 new apartments with 1, 2 and 3-bedroom flats including private balconies, a large communal amenity space, and car parking spaces.
Multi Utility for New Kent Flats
This client required a multi-utility package, including a gas easement for their project in Kent.
The install date for the gas easement given by the council was 28th of March. However, after communicating with the council and the network supplier, this was later pushed forward for the client to the 10th of February.
On completion of our jobs, we reconcile all quotes against the scope of works to ascertain whether 100% of the quoted costs were required on site. On this occasion the traffic management was not used and therefore we were able to obtain a refund for this unused service.
Extension For St Johns Hospice
Andrea and Wayne were pleased to have delivered full multi utility to St Johns Hospice in Lancaster. The new extension meant a new 26kVA electric connection was required alongside a 30kW gas connection and a commercial water connection.
After a successful completion, Connections2energy look forward to assisting this client again for any future projects.
Omega Warrington II Completion
Our Managing Director and Major Projects Manager Charlotte had the opportunity to visit a completed job in Warrington this week.
The Mountpark Warrington Omega II is a development at the gateway to Omega South comprising three units totalling 736,884 sq ft. Omega is the largest mixed-use development in the Northwest, creating over 24,000 new jobs. The 1st phase of the development is complete, with Unit 1 (308,182 sq ft) and Unit 2 (203,390 sq ft) let to Gousto and Amazon. Unit 3, totalling 225,527 sq ft has exchanged.
58 New Apartments To Be Built
Chelsie and Wayne are pleased to be delivering diversion works for 58 new apartments to be built.
These energy efficient apartments will include EV charging facilities and green energy solutions for heating and hot water supplies. The site will also be carefully designed with landscaping that encourages wild habitats to continue to thrive and flourish in their natural habitat.
New Build Homes in Fosdyke
Paula and John are delighted to be working with their repeat client on their next development at Fosdyke. The development will include 9 executive homes, of which Connections2energy will be supplying a temporary electric supply, as well as new LV mains, services and metering.

Former Leicester City Hotel To Be Made Into Student Accommodation
Nicola and Charlotte are delighted to be working alongside this longstanding client on their new project, delivering full multi utility to a new student accommodation block.
The former Leicester city hotel will be converted into student living, including a café, gym and workspace. Previously a hotel, the building closed down in 2009 and has been derelict ever since. The new 470-bedroom building will be a valuable contribution to the ongoing regeneration of this area.
Phase 2 of Salford Discovery Quay
Charlotte and Nicola are delighted to work with this client on the Phase 2 development of this Student Accommodation in Salford. Having worked together previously on Phase 1 as well as other developments across the UK, the client was happy to work with Connections2energy once again.
The 15-storey second phase will require full multi utility, including new gas, water and electric connections as well as diversions and disconnection work. The 14,200 sq m student accommodation is set to include 457 bedrooms and communal spaces. We are looking forward to another successful partnership in delivering the next phase of this student accommodation for this client.
Thomas Telford University Technical College Expansion
Andrea and Wayne were pleased to assist in delivering full multi utility to Thomas Telford University Technical College for their 4,500 sq m expansion.
The expanded sports and activity spaces will facilitate the delivery of a full secondary academic syllabus, allowing pupils aged 11-18 years old to be taught at the UTC. In addition to this, students will also study a range of technical options, including architecture, design and innovation.
Boswells Department Store Conversion
Andrea and Nicola are delighted to be delivering new gas connections and gas disconnections to the former Boswells department store in Oxford. Work is under way to covert the building into a new 4* hotel with 101 bedrooms, and a new filth floor which will include a rooftop bar and external space overlooking the rooftops.
With the department store dating back to 1738, the design will take reference to the site’s historic past. Connections2energy are grateful to be working alongside this client on a fantastic conversion.
Full Multi Utility for £22.5 Million Leisure Centre
Nicola and Marc were pleased to help deliver full multi utility to this state-of-the-art £22.5 million leisure centre in Coalville.
The project was completed and opened 5 months ahead of schedule due to the hard work of everyone involved, despite some of the challenges faced throughout.
The centre, which is a partnership between North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC) and leisure operator Everyone Active, includes fantastic amenities such as an eight-lane pool, eight-court sports hall, sauna, steam room and a café.

Connections2energy are honoured to be assisting in the electric connections of this £3m Institute of Technology development for Middlesbrough College.

Full Multi Utility for 6 New Office Blocks in Oldham
Andrea and Paula have been working hard alongside our client on a fantastic new development in Oldham which includes gas meter removal and disconnection, whilst adding new water and electrical connections in preparation of 6 new office buildings over the 4.5 acre plot.
The development of the business park will create 120 construction jobs over the expected three-year build period and 715 jobs are expected to be created when it becomes operational. Connections2energy are proud to assist in the transformation of the former unused land. It will have a brand new appearance with the quality modern offices and landscaping, furthering regeneration and improving the image of this part of Oldham.
Disconnection Of Existing Electrical Supplies & New Water and Electric Connections in Cambridge
Connections2energy are pleased to confirm the completion of new electrical and water connections, as well as disconnection of existing electrical supplies for 7 flats, 1 landlord supply and 1 commercial unit.
With the understanding that there was a road closure required and a crossing directly outside the building, coonnections2 energy coordinated site meetings with water, electrics and council highways departments to discuss the traffic/pedestrian management requirement. This meeting took place and the council originally instructed both parties (water and electric) that their works were both to take place under the same permit and to go ahead no sooner than February 2022. However, after Nicola and Marc had many conversations with the council, we managed to being this forward to November 2021, under two weekends.
