Connections2energy has been appointed to deliver a comprehensive multi‑utility package for the redevelopment of a specialist nursing care facility supporting adults living with complex needs arising from dementia in Barnsley. The scheme will be operated by a highly skilled multi‑disciplinary team, including Health Care Assistants, Registered Nurses, Life Skills Facilitators, a Physiotherapist and an Occupational Therapist, each dedicated to delivering personalised, person‑centred care.
Our works on this project include the installation of temporary electricity and water supplies, an electric diversion in line with Section 278 highway works, an Openreach diversion, and a new fibre connection to support the digital and clinical needs of the site. Permanent utility installations include a new electric connection, new water connection, and a new gas connection with kiosk, alongside an electric TBS disconnection to safely decommission legacy infrastructure.
Delivering all utilities under a single coordinated package reduces programme complexity, ensures full compliance, and supports the phased construction of this essential care facility. Our streamlined approach helps minimise disruption while enabling the development of a safe, supportive environment for people requiring specialist dementia care. With a strong track record across the healthcare and specialist‑care sector, Connections2energy continues to work closely with providers and development teams to deliver reliable, well‑coordinated utility solutions that meet the specific demands of complex care environments.
