A business that does more than deliver utility connections

We’ve always believed a business should contribute positively to the people and communities around it.

From charitable partnerships to national challenges, here’s what we stand for beyond the day job.

our approach

Community & Recognition

Being family-run means we think about the long term. We’re not chasing quarterly targets, we’re building a business our team is proud to work for and our clients are proud to recommend. That means doing right by the communities we operate in, supporting causes that matter, and holding ourselves to a higher standard than the minimum required.

Our partnership with Sean’s Place

Sean’s Place is a mental health charity providing free support to men in Merseyside. At a time when male mental health is one of the most underfunded and stigmatised areas of healthcare, Sean’s Place is doing genuinely vital work.

We chose to partner with Sean’s Place because it reflects our values. As a team that operates largely in male-dominated industries, we know firsthand how rarely mental health is talked about openly at work.

Our partnership has helped to raise almost £14,000 in total to assist in funding their services and raise awareness. We encourage everyone in our network to find out more about the incredible work they do.

why this partnership matters

Our industry, our responsibility

Construction and utilities have some of the highest male suicide rates of any sector. We take that seriously.

Male mental health crisis

Suicide is the leading cause of death in men under 50 in the UK. Sean’s Place provides free, stigma-free support.

Active partnership

We don’t just donate. We fundraise, raise awareness and encourage conversations across our network.

National Three Peaks Challenge

In June 2025, the Connections2energy team took on the National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours to raise money for Sean’s Place.

Three of the UK’s highest mountains. One team. One very long day. It was hard, it was muddy, and it was one of the best things we’ve done as a team. We’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part and everyone who donated.

From the brutal climbs to the sleep-deprived travel, this challenge tested us in every way, mentally, physically, and emotionally. But through every step, we pushed on together, supported one another, and even found time for laughs, making some hilarious memories in the process.

What truly stood out was the team spirit, lifting each other up (sometimes literally), knowing when someone needed encouragement, and proving that when people come together for a good cause, incredible things happen.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, cheered us on, and believed in us.

Our commitment to a greener future

We’re ISO 14001 certified, which means our environmental impact is formally measured, managed and reduced year on year. But we want to go further than the standard requires.

The UK’s transition to net zero means utility infrastructure is changing fast. EV charging, heat pump connections, renewable energy integration and we’re positioning ourselves to be at the heart of that transition.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management

Independently audited every year. Our environmental processes meet the international standard.

Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme

We work with NHS Trusts and public bodies on decarbonisation, helping them meet their own net-zero targets.

EV charging infrastructure delivery

We’re active in delivering EV charging connections for commercial developments supporting the electric vehicle transition.
