Connections2energy will be collaborating with a valued client to facilitate the relocation of electric cables and water mains, enabling the construction of a new NHS GP Surgery Hub. The aim is to update overcrowded GP surgeries and have the space to offer patients a wider range of health services under one roof. It has been estimated that the hub would support 51 jobs, consisting of 34 full-time employees and 17 part-time workers. About 20 per cent of the jobs would be new positions.
Our Technical Lead, Nicola Scholes, has worked tirelessly to ensure that these diversions are scheduled and completed on time, as the building schedules can not commence without them. Additionally, the diversion work needed to be carried out during the summer holidays due to the proximity of a school across from the site. Without these diversions, the project would not have been able to proceed. Nicola successfully secured the necessary permits for the work to start during the summer break, avoiding any disruption to the school. These permits typically take up to three months to be approved, but Nicola managed to obtain them in just under a week.
