Location: East Sussex, United Kingdom
Scope of works: New Electric Connection, Electric Diversion, New Water Connection, BT Diversion
Sector: Public
Project: Multi-purpose community hub
Connections2energy is delighted to be facilitating multi-utility connections and diversions for a mixed-use community hub in Bexhill-On-Sea. The scheme includes the demolition of the existing football changing block, and the construction of a new multi-purpose community hub with football changing, a coffee shop and multi-purpose function rooms. It will also provide space for meetings, workshops and classes supporting a cultural arts programme.
The works have begun with utility diversions taking place. Many sites contain essential underground utility networks. If construction works interfere with these networks, diversions must be completed. While diversions can facilitate projects otherwise obstructed by utilities, they require significant coordination and work programming. Following this, new electric and water connections will be completed to power the site and the new building, followed by meter installs.
