Location: Northampton, United Kingdom
Scope of works: Multi-utility works, including new commercial electric connection (450 kVA) & New telecoms connection
Sector: Public
Project: New fire station and a new local policing base
Connections2energy has been appointed to deliver a coordinated package of electric and telecoms connections to support the redevelopment of public safety facilities in Northampton. The scheme includes a new fire station on an existing operational site and the creation of a new, visible and accessible policing base, replacing outdated accommodation.
Our works comprise a 450 kVA commercial electricity connection to power building services and operational equipment, together with a new telecoms connection. By managing these utilities as a single, coordinated package, we help the programme align with phasing and minimise disruption to nearby residents and businesses.
The team for this job, Andrea and Nicola, work on these types of projects frequently and understand how critical it is to avoid disrupting vital community services when undertaking utility projects for public sector clients.
“Working in busy urban environments requires careful planning due to constrained access, traffic management, safety around pedestrians, and close coordination with neighbours. Our approach focuses on clear communication and management with the wider build programme to keep works moving with minimal disruption.”
